When it comes to sunscreens, it seem like the main focus is on how high the SPF is. Well, that is basically the purpose of a sunscreen right? What about how it appears on your skin, is that also necessary? Perhaps not to everyone but surely not just me. A sunscreen with SPF 30 is no new thing to me, there are many other products on the market that offers the same amount of protection.
For me as a woman of colour, if ever I needed some sun protection to supplement what my melanin is already doing for me, my main focus has been to find a sunscreen that doesn’t make me look like I’m a different race. I hated it whenever my daughter came back from nursery looking like she had been smeared with vernix! Finding a no white residue sunscreen that is also affordable has been a herculean task which has taken too much of my precious time. So when I was contacted to do a review on the Nivea Sun UV Face Q10 Anti-Age & Anti-Pigments, I was totally sold when I saw 0% white residue.
“sun protection specifically designed for facial needs”
No white residue sunscreen!
I will totally admonish every person out there who is struggling to find a No white residue sunscreen to get this product. It has the moisturising quality of a hand cream and additionally provides anti ageing and anti pigmentation properties which I feel is an awesome idea. I was sent the 50ml product, which is a good size to slip into your pocket or purse. You can find this product in your usual drugstore like boots and Superdrug.
